Niobium has emerged as a prominent research focus in the new energy materials sector. Its application value in boosting the energy density, cycling durability, fast-charging capability and safety reliability of energy storage devices has garnered extensive attention and recognition across the industry. Niobium-based technical solutions are accelerating the industrial implementation of lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) and high-voltage lithium nickel manganese oxide (LNMO) for power batteries. Meanwhile, such solutions empower the development of energy storage devices supporting AIDC computing infrastructure and solid-state batteries.
Since 2018, CITIC Metal Co., Ltd. and Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração (CBMM | Niobium) have successfully hosted the "International Conference on Niobium-based Batteries" for eight consecutive years. Serving as an international exchange platform dedicated to the latest advances in research and industrial applications of niobium-based battery technologies, the symposium links the whole industrial chain covering academia, research institutes and end users, and has earned widespread recognition and positive feedback from all industry participants over previous sessions.
