Presentation Title: Ultra-High-Power Niobium-Based SuperBattery for AI Data Centers and Grid Applications
Abstract:
Skeleton
Technologies has developed and deployed the world’s fastest battery technology,
the SuperBattery. The SuperBattery can be charged and discharged in less than a
minute, resulting in a power density of 12kW/L, compared to the 0.5kW/L
achieved by conventional lithium-ion batteries. The Niobium-based SuperBattery
technology outperforms lithium-ion and graphite-based battery technologies in
terms of cost per kilowatt, lifespan, energy density, and power density.
The presentation will elucidate the fundamentals of the technology, the process
of mass production, and its comparative advantages against competing
technologies. The speech will also delve into SuperBattery applications, with a
primary focus on AI data centers and grid applications. In the AI data center
application, SuperBatteries serve as battery backup units and short-term
uninterruptible power supplies (short-term UPS). For the grid application, they
are utilized for extreme power boosts, such as those required for new reactor
technologies.
