Presentation Title: Research of Niobium-Modified High-Voltage Lithium Nickel Manganese Oxide
Abstract:
High-voltage
spinel structure LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) cathode
material has been attracted great attention, due to its large discharge
capacity (148 mAh·g-1), ultrahigh working voltage (4.7 V vs. Li+/Li0),
and high-power density as well as relatively low cost. However, this material
suffers from several problems, such as Jahn-Teller effect, Mn dissolution
during cycling, and oxygen defects after calcination. We have proposed several
methods to overcome these issues for the large-scale production of lithium
nickel manganese oxide cathode materials.
The
battery using mass-produced lithium nickel manganese oxide has an energy
density of 230Wh/Kg and a capacity retention rate of 80% after 1200 cycles at
45 ℃, which is expected to
further reduce the cost of battery modules.
Biography:
Yaletu Saixi, Senior Engineer and Dean of the Research Institute of Anhui Boshi High tech New Materials Co., Ltd. I have been engaged in the research of lithium-ion battery cathode materials for a long time, understanding the essential issues of transition metal oxide materials, mastering a lot of experimental skills and analytical characterization techniques, and possessing good academic literacy and research capabilities. I have already done a series of effective exploratory work on the performance optimization scheme of lithium-ion battery cathode materials. Applied for and authorized 3 patents each in the field of lithium-ion cathode materials in the United States, Japan, South Korea, and the European Union, and applied for 46 patents in China, of which 32 have been authorized.
